NavalKleen™ - Biormedial Formula for Bilges & Oily Waste Tanks

There has been an increasing mandate, from governmental environmental agencies, for the installation and use of Oil-Water Separators & Interceptors in Marine Industry. These new regulations have placed a heavy burden, both financial & operational, on all phases of Marine Industry. NavalKleen™ can & will help to overcome many of these expenses. NavalKleen™ has the ability to significantly reduce hydrocarbon contamination in Bilges, Oily Waste Tanks and Oil Water Separators. The added cleaning & degreasing bio-surface agent will help to keep your facility clean & safe for all personnel. NavalKleen™ is a blend of naturally occurring micro-organisms chosen for their ability to metabolize hydrocarbons in Bilges, Oily Waste Tanks and Oil Water Separators. When used in a routine maintenance program, NavalKleen™ will eliminate hydrocarbon build-up, eliminating the need to clean Bilges, pump the Oily Waste Tank and clean the Oily Water Separator. How To Use This Product

Recommended for All Ships using No. 2 Fuel Oil thru No. 6 Fuel Oil (Bunker C)** The treatments listed should be adjusted to specific conditions as contaminant loads vary. For best results use in accordance with a regular preventative maintenance schedule.

**For No. 6 Fuel Oil, NavalKleen II Kit is a more effective formulation.

WET BILGE USE
  1. Add 5 gallons of NavalKleen Liquid Concentrate directly to bilge
  2. Allow NavalKleen to degrade hydrocarbons. (Oily mixtures) Process takes approximately 8 - 16 hours
  3. Transfer bilge water to Oily Wastewater Holding Tank [OWHT] as necessary
OILY WASTEWATER (SLOP) HOLDING TANK "OWHT"
  1. Determine one percent (1 %) of the oil content as measured from the sight gauge or sounding tape. (For example: 500 gallons x 1% = 5 gallons)
  2. The 5 gallon result is the amount of NavalKleen recommended to treat the OWHT
  3. Add appropriate amount of NavalKleen Liquid Concentrate to OWHT
  4. Agitate and aerate, if possible for 24 - 36 hours
  5. Transfer to OWS for normal processing
OIL WATER SEPERATOR SYSTEM CLEANING
  1. Secure discharge valves of OWS.
  2. Add approximately 2 gallons of NavalKleen Liquid Concentrate to the OWS.
  3. Retain in OWS for 24 hours while re-circulating in the OWS system.
  4. Transfer normally thru Oil Content Monitor.
PRESSURE WASHING - Including Dry Bilges
GENERAL USE
  1. Set pressure washer at 20:1 ratio and begin cleaning.
  2. Allow water effluent to drain or accumulate in bilge.
