NavalKleen II™ - General Maintenance & Pollution
Prevention
NavalKleenII™ has
been specifically formulated for ships using No. 6 Fuel Oil - Bunker C -
Marine Fuels. NavalKleenII™ is
an easy to use three component bioremediation system developed for Commercial
vessels with heavy contaminant loading and inefficient Oil/Water Seperator
ooperation caused by the use of heavy fuel. NavalKleenII™
reduces hydrocarbon contamination in Bilges, Oily Waste Tanks, Oil Water
Separators. The kit contains additional micro-organisms, nutrients and special
bio-cleaners that literally “eat” hydrocarbon contamination
& reduce oily waste to below OCM dischargeable limits, allowing NavalKleenII™
users to massively reduce the amount of waste oil entering their waste oil
tanks and drive down charges related to hazardous waste disposal.
Volumes Available: 20litre Pale inc. Associated Nutrients
How To Use This Product
Recommended for All Ships using No. 2 Fuel Oil thru No. 6
Fuel Oil (Bunker C). The treatments listed should be adjusted to specific
conditions as contaminant loads vary. For best results use in accordance
with a regular preventative maintenance schedule.
WET BILGE USE
- Add 5 gallons of Navalkleen II Liquid Concentrate directly to bilge.
- Open bag # 1. Remove water soluble pack and drop into bilge
- Open bag # 2. Pour contents into bilge.
- Allow all NavalKleenII™
kit components to degrade hydrocarbons.
Process takes approximately 8 - 16 hours
- Transfer bilge water to Oily Wastewater Holding Tank [OWHT] as necessary.
OILY WASTEWATER (SLOP) HOLDING TANK "OWHT"
- Determine one percent (1%) of the oil content as measured from the sight
gauge or sounding tape.
Example: 500 gallons x 1% = 5 gallons
The 5 gallon result is the amount of NavalKleenII™
recommended to treat the OWHT
- Add appropriate amount of NavalKleenII™
Liquid Concentrate to OWHT.
- Open bag # 1. Remove water soluble pack and drop into OWHT
- Open bag # 2. Pour contents into OWHT
- Agitate and aerate, if possible for 24 - 36 hours.
- Transfer to OWS for normal processing.
